School Based Programs
We are very excited to be facilitating 3 school programs this spring. Contact us if you would like to join in on the fun.
While our school programs are similar, we tailor the needs of each program to the individual needs of the school we are working with. We are excited to see the different personalities that each programs takes on. Each session we start with a safety check to ensure that our bicycles are in proper working order. We then spend about 15-20 minutes teaching a skill: proper braking/stopping, safety, etiquette, cornering etc. The rest of the time is spent riding and practicing the skills. It has been amazing to watch the kids progress.
-Erwin Middle Bike Club: We meet every Wednesday, 3-5 pm ( 6pm if we have a field trip). Field trips we have gone on include Spin-Tech, Richmond Hill, Bent Creek, French Broad River Greenway. An overnight trip is in the works to the Jackrabbit Trails in WNC, if you want to chaperone, contact stephen@tripsforkidswnc.com.
-Evergreen Charter School: Thursday 3:30-5pm. We will be meeting at the school and hope to be taking some field trips to The French Broad River Greenway and Richmond Hill.
-Francine Delaney New School For Children: Friday 12-2. We will meet at the school in West Asheville with frequent rides at The French Broad River Greenway.
