Fletcher Flyer: June 3rd, 2012

We are pleased to announce that Chris Despard: Sparks Coaching, Fletcher Flyer 100 and Trips For Kids WNC are teaming up to give you the opportunity to challenge yourself and raise money that will fund more kids on bikes in Western NC.
The 2012 Fletcher Flyer 100 offers a rolling route through the beautiful hills of western North Carolina. The full century is 100 miles and only 4044′ of climbing. This is a great ride for a first time century rider. The Blue Ridge Bicycle Club does an excellent job of supporting the ride with roving SAG wagons and fully stocked rest stops.
Training:
Chris will provide the expertise in training. The training program will include two 9 week segments to get you fully prepared to succeed in riding your bicycle 100 miles. In addition , we will provide several different informational classes: nutrition, proper clothing, maintenance etc. We will also have specified weekly training rides, for hands on coaching and practicing skills. If you can ride a bike, you are qualified to sign up for this program.
Fund Raising:
Minimum requirement is $250 due at before the ride. (while this is the minimum to cover costs, we hope that you will raise much more to support getting more kids on bikes). This will cover the cost of your training program, Fletcher Flyer entry, fundraising incentives, fundraising opportunities, and you will have access to your coaches via e-mail for support. You will also have access to your very own fundraising website, that you and your/team can use to spread the word about your fundraising efforts. We challenge you to raise as much money as possible to support the Trips For Kids WNC program.
